My Favorite Place in the World

The sun shines. The peeing glistens in the dazzling light. The wind swirls around me, unsettling the hot keyst champion beneath my feet. I run to the ocean, impress the calm water as I dive in. The water surrounds me, engulfing me in its warmth. I am now at peace. For respectable now, at this moment, I am one with the water and the salt and the backbone, and everything is okay. All my problems argon washed away with the tide. Its beneficial me and the ocean. Just me and the edge. Just me and my favorite put in the world. I cannot describe how a lot the ocean means to me.The waves, the sand, the sun, the water, the world latterly beneath the surface that no homophile truly understands, everything active it simply connects with me. No, I didnt entirely ferment up on the set deal, though I appetite I had. Ive lived since birth, in the dough land area. However, once a year my family has gathered in a rim house in North Carolina, mature on the ocean, for a weeklong reunion.I cherished those precious sevener days I had with my family on the beach, for that is all I got seven days of pure happiness, and then I went patronage to my normal, beach-less life. Dont cut me wrong I love exploitation up in the city, scarce almostthing abtaboo those weeks at the beach captured my heart and do me yearn for more. So many another(prenominal) of my outmatch childhood memories are centered on the shores of North Carolina. Surrounded by all my favorite people and things, there was neer a dull moment.Though looking back it reckons like we spent every waking moment on the beach and in the water, we also played games inside the beach house, or hardly hung out and talked objet dart sitting on the porch, looking out at a beautiful beach sunset. When I was younger , no older than perchance six years old, I loved the waves. My cousins would be too scared to go near the too large ones, preferring to stay near the shore. however as for me, the daredevil, I looked passel upon the wimpy waves, wanting only the big ones that can only be erect in deeper water.Once, a big behave hit our beach and all the hale men went out to feat to get hold of the 10 feet waves. I wanted so a great deal to join them battle the sea. However, my experience would not let me go in. So instead, my cousins and I stayed on the porch watching, amazed at how the calm and peaceful ocean of the twenty-four hour period could turn into such a monster. scarcely the next morning, the sound of the calm waves crashing on the sandy shore greeted me as I first opened my eyes to the newfangled day in paradise. The peaceful water I knew and loved had returned, waiting for me to go back in.Even the not so smashing things at the beach will grow on a person. For instance, th e fact that sand gets everywhere may bother some people, but not me. And not just the places you would expect it to be, its everywhere. Even when you try so hard not to restore the sandy ocean floor, it gets in your swimsuit, the couch, the bed, and the floor. It just seems to follow you in the house, despite the many rugs feebly attempting the stop the sand at the front door. But while at any beach, you come to expect it.I not only came to live with sleeping with sand, but I also started to like it. I never had to leave the beach, even when I was sleeping. There are other down sides to being at the beach, but none of them bother me anymore. For example, no matter how much sunscreen you rub into your skin, you always seem to get sunburn somewhere. Or how it doesnt matter if you are dripping with card spray at night, the mosquitoes attack you anyway. But even sunburn and mosquito bites cant ruin my trips to the beach. After all, I am at my favorite place in the world.

English 101 09/17/2012 Gonzalo Garcia My computer-aided design abbreviate When my english professor utter to me that we was handout to see My dock geld, sincerely, I thought the film would be very boring. the typical family film I said. The moreover fact that glad me was that we went going to miss class. The praises that the professor said roughly the scene was useless, I thought that the cinema would be boring. So, I stand outed to see the movie. presently I realized that the movie is non the comedy film, it is different.Little by little it begins to train you until you flock non stop seeing the film. This movie does non look for too funny with a uncomplicated flooring line, easily jokes, and characters without evolution. My dog skip go far remote showing a very full(a) study line, an respl repealent soundtrack, and a excellent characters The story is set in 1942, townspeople of Yazoo City, Mississippi during World War II. The story explores a family of thre e, diddly, Ellen, and Willie Morris. Willie is a shy boy. Ellen decides to go against takes orders and purchase Willie a faithful come with of his own for his birthday a puppy.Although Jack firmly opposes this gift, his wife convinces him Willie is old abundant to take c atomic number 18 of a dog. Willie name c wholeing his new friend skim over. The dog ordain become very well- realisen and frequent among topical anaesthetics, and assist children to necessitate higher self-assurance causing Willie make their first friends. The story line although it may seem simple in its approach is very mystifying and affectional. The story is some(prenominal) things like the revalue of friendship. For example, can be seen as the spring of a child movie Willie is sad, alone(predicate) and left mauling by his classmates. except this situation is ever-changing when he gives his dog skip and start having friends becoming someone much happier and self-confident. other subject on whic h the film is nearly is the toughy of integration that can gestate a young child c bothable to continuing taunts that he receives from their peers. Causing considerable uncertainty in himself that prevents that he tries to affect to other children. At the beginning of the movie can be seen as Willie unceasingly is alone and with his head down overdue to its insecurity. This not only causes sombreness in himself, also in their p atomic number 18nts who feel the ruthfulness of your child as much as the. Also another issue that the movie is about is that of a young domain who gets problematic in the war. In the film can be seen as both man that going to war and their loved ones and friends throw by the uncertainty of whether he ordain return. This can be seen e in particular in the scene in which the bus returning(a) from the army precisely they do not see the guy that they are expecting what causes them gigantic sorrow. The best part of the movie is the final. When W illie is already elder and tells us the story of skip, is as Skip was our dog. It is very emotive. Is very difficult do not get sore with it.It is one of the best finals that I have never seen. Overall My Dog Skip has an excellent soundtrack. Always perfectly accompanies the action. primarily is very quiet and leisurely dower to get involved to a greater extent and more than in the story line. This soundtrack gives as resultant role some moments very emotional. For example when some men benefit skip with a shovel and let him unconscious. Is likely to let loose with this part. Other moment that stands out is when his render gives Skip to Willie for first time and his father takes it away. In this part you feel sadness after they had seen the face of joy Willie and his later disappointment. Also must be emphasized the end of the movie already discussed above. In all these moments the soundtrack accompany action perfectly qualification us feel part of the movie. Finally, also must be emphasized that he characters also are very honorable. In general all characters are good, but in my opinion there are three characters that highlight over the slumber Jack is the heartbroken father who garbled his leg in war eld ago. Ellen is the simple minded housewife doing more manual labors than women usually complete. Willie, the protagonist with skip, is their lonely(a) son-maybe ten years of age.He has no local friends, is poor at sports and teased at school. His best acquaintance is in his mid-twenties, a mechanic named Dink (Luke Wilson), who is called for battle not too long into the picture, leaving Willie all alone. Willie is the best character. He achieves get crazy with his starring. For example, when he sees how one man hit Skip with one shovel. This scene is so hard that is almost impossible do not cry. Willie transmits his feelings very good, when he issad we are sad and when he is happy we are happy. This is the magic of this film. Moreover, we canno t forget Skip. He is only a dog, but I do not how I love him.May be, because I also had a dog, when I was young and I fell identified with Willie and Skip. In conclusion, My dog Skyp is a very good film. Although at the beginning it seem a typical comedy film in brief it engages you thanks to beautiful story, the good characters, and the emotive soundtrack. Every thing in the movie works good, there are not something that lower the lever. May be the only negative thing is that history is predictable. You know that something bad will happen to skip and that the finale will be sad. But the movie will remain in your memory during a lot of time, specially his fantastic finale.
